Random Happenings

We're due for an update. That's what happens when you keep forgetting to bring your camera. Plus, I need to step my camera game up. I don't have one of those slim joints so that eliminates putting it in my pocket. And wearing the little strap around your wrist isn't a good look...

First, "The Swagmatic LP" is on the way. The REAL first BMB release (Lost Songs and Brillance Makes Billions don't count). I've heard some of the mixes and it's like hearing these songs for the first time all over again. More to come on that...

Second, new tees and such. You've seen a sneak peek at our new design (how could you have missed it? It was are latest update for the past 10 days or so). What's the future of that design? Time will tell. The great minds here at BMB got the creative juices flowing...

Third, "Welcome to Ugg City" will be the follow up to "Swagmatic." To all the thugs, houligans, scoundrels, ghouls, and just plain no good people - this albums for you. Keep one eye up for that one...

and now, some imagery...

The Swagmatic LP

Just to fill the masses in, our first official LP (The Lost Songs and Brilliance Makes Billions don't count) is almost complete. All the songs have been done and right now they're in the process of being mixed and mastered at 17 Hertz Studio by their engineers Jose and Sam. Real quick, for all the producers and artists out there who are interested in taking your music to the next level for real, be sure to shoot an e-mail to rs17Hertz@yahoo.com, or visit their website at www.17hertz.com and ask about getting your work mastered. This was the first time we had our songs done up, and at first I didn't see the importance of it as much as Feb and Rae did, but now I'm glad we went ahead and had it done.

This past weekend a couple of us slid by the studio to give a listen to how the songs were coming out and we were all blown away. The vocals are coming out very crisp and the right parts of the beats are being brought out. Again this is all brand-new material that we managed to keep stored away for long enough to give you a whole CD's worth of unheard songs (you don't know how difficult it is to make a new joint and not run to the blog or myspace and put it up).

Weapons of mass destruction...

As of right now we have 2 main projects lined up this year. Around fall of 2008 we're going to be putting out the tentatively titled "Welcome To Ugg City." And that will be a collection of grimy, gritty, dungeons-of-rap type songs. And currently, there are already about 5-6 songs lined up for that CD. But coming up first, this Spring, we'll be putting out "The Swagmatic LP," which will be a complete opposite of Ugg City in that it's comprised of mainly dapper, debonairre, swaggy-filled joints. And like I said, the joints are coming out fresh and we can't wait to let you hear it.

If I had to be a good-guesser, we should have the CD ready mid to late April... Keep checking back. Also as I was postin on the balcony, it also looks like they're selling clean urine samples at the studio at $20 a cup.

I love a studio that thinks of everything.

I dig.

But where are the other 3 tee's at? We're going to need photo-proof that they didn't turn into car-seat covers.

More Pics From LA...

"This is a video shoot for an artist to whom Nick is the A&R. The song is called Lavish by Metro ft. Bobby V. The filming took place in Malibu on Zuma beach. And that house....lets just say that if I had a dollar for everytime I blink in this lifetime, I still couldn't pay it off." - Rae.

Craziness... But I'm willing to dispute that.

RIP Static

Stephen "Static Major" Garrett passed away Monday, February 25th, 2008. For those who may not know who he is, he was 1/3 of the singing group "Playa". Reppin Louisville, He wrote for artists such as Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Destiny's Child, Brandy, and JoJo. Static also collaborated with producers such as Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Scott Storch, and Jazze Pha.
